Author Jenny Brown Joins Lawyers Club of San Diego to discuss her brilliant and timely book: Birth Strike: The Hidden Fight Over Women’s Work

Decades in the making, our constitutional right to abortion is gone. Access to contraception remains under attack. Is this the product of politicians pandering to a religious right-wing base? According to Jenny Brown, the answer is a resounding “No.” Listen to Ms. Brown explain that this attack on women’s reproductive freedom is rooted in an exclusionary economic power structure that depends on women continuing, for free, to bear and raise the next generation of workers.  It need not be this way. Ms. Brown offers us hope and a path to a fairer and more empowered future.
